Creating a style blog, whether it’s home decor or personal style, is something I never imagined doing. For starters, I don’t have a sense of style and that seems to be a prerequisite. Secondly, I hate selfies. It’s just not in my DNA to point the phone at my face snapping close-up pictures. The thought of doing so makes me break out in hives. Given both reasons I should just end this post here. But, I won’t.
I’m challenging myself to define my style to not only push myself but also to help create the type of life I want. When I look in the mirror I don’t feel put together anymore. Pre-kids I was put together, and I want that feeling back. That not-put-together feeling bleeds over into our family home. Mental clutter breeds physical clutter that breeds chaos. Our home should be a respite from the outside world – not a source of additional stress.
Sugarcreek Style is a place for me to hone a sense of style, find a creative outlet that’s sorely lacking in my daily life, and hopefully serve as a source of inspiration for those also living non-Pinterest worthy lives, too. Please join me, and welcome.
